This week I am in lovely Vilnius with my son before starting a week of assembler training. I’ll post some pictures below. The castle is in Trakai, a short drive outside the city. The bust is of Frank Zappa, Rock on Vilnius!

On a different note, Amit Sharma was kind enough to interview me for his wonderful Tech Sharmit podcast. You can listen to the interview here. You can catch Amit on YouTube here. Thanks again, Amit!

Happy New Year!Happy New Year!

In my spare time, I entertain myself by writing a series of mystery novels. The first novel was The Elvis Bird, and the most recent is Death of a Golden Bird. They are about a southern ornithologist who researches birds (The Ivory-billed Woodpecker and the Golden Eagle) and stumbles over murders. Both novels are available on Amazon in paper and Kindle. These days, I am working on a third novel in the series. You can read more about them at dewoolbright.com .

If you would like to support this site and make an old but budding novelist happy, consider buying copies. As always, thanks for using the site.

I just published my first novel, The Elvis Bird, on Amazon, and Barnes and Noble. It’s a mystery about an ornithologist tracking a presumed extinct bird, the Ivory-billed Woodpecker. If you like mysteries, southern lit, ornithology, or Elvis, you might enjoy it. I created an author site at http://dewoolbright.com. You can find links to the book (paper or Kindle), read a couple of chapters on Amazon, and learn a little bit about Ivory-billed woodpeckers as well. All profits from the sale of the book will be donated to charitable organizations that support birds.

One reason I published it was to learn how it’s done. The next book will be called The Little Blue Assembler Book. It requires a lot more formatting, but I’m working diligently to put it out. So, buy a book, support the site and make an old man happy.
